Step #1 :Plan it.

'What kind of website am I going to build?'

That's one of the toughest questions to answer so start with an ideas list. Keep adding new ideas. You may have a few niches. For each niche, plan how you're going to make money from your traffic. After all, the goal of creating a web site is to generate income for the future.

If a site concept doesn't look like it's going to be a profitable niche, ditch it and move on to the next site concept until you find one that's suitable. Then make a list of all possible keywords associated with your chosen site concept.

Step #2: Organize it

Before creating the site, gather your supplies and tools. Have 10 articles ready - check spellings and grammar.

Divide up content into categories and sub-categories and organize the hierarchy of the site. Visit websites that are similar to what you're going to build. Take note of what you like or dislike about each site.

Organize photographs, graphics, videos you need.

Step #3: Build It

Once you decide what niche-market you are getting into, you have to decide on a domain name, heading, logo, and decide on a site builder. If possible include the primary keyword in your domain name.

Select an appropriate overall look and feel for the site. If your site is for kids, use bright colors.

To encourage visitors to return, consider a more interactive site.
