Have you hopped from opportunity to opportunity looking for the best mlm company? Have you noticed whichever opportunity it is, you are bound to find someone who has done extremely well?
Fact is, there are numerous companies with great products and generous compensation plans. Your choice therefore is highly personal depending on interests and needs. What's considered best mlm company by someone else may not be the right one for you.
Here are some guidelines to help you determine whether you've found your best mlm company.
Is it in a niche where there's a strong long term product demand?
Nutritional and personal care products have consistently produced long term mlm income. That's where most network marketers who've made millions in the industry have placed their bets.
The wellness industry is big business. The driving force behind the wellness revolution is the baby boomers generation, an affluent group that wants to look and feel younger and are willing to pay for it.
The product
- Have you found a product you love? A product that is safe to use with no side effects if consumed? If so, you've got a winner because when you have something you are passionate about, you tend to talk about it with enthusiasm. It could be your best mlm company if you're happy with the compensation plan.
.- You can identify a winner by looking at a company's USP or unique selling proposition. Does it have a strong feature that makes it stands out above the rest?
For example, there are plenty of mlm opportunities offering superfood beverages , but most of them are processed from large-scale commercial farm produce. A unique superfood product could be Australian superfruit juice that's made mainly from whole fruits harvested from the wild Australian Outback. No select breeding, artificial fertilizers,or pesticides involved and it has extremely high nutrient content. If you are health conscious, being paid to stay healthy could be your best mlm company.
Global Presence
Best mlm companies to join have global presence. This gives you the opportunity to operate an international business. Mlm companies selling digital products and online services have the greatest potential to generate leads from anywhere in the world.
The compensation plan.
While looking for the best mlm company, pay special attention to the compensation plan. It should be simple and easy to explain. If it's complicated, your communication loses impact and if prospects don't understand how to calculate the commissions, they are unlikely to sign up.
Assess the potential size of the organization.
There are 2 ways an organization grows. It can grow in width and in depth so check the limitations placed on the compensation plan.
Front end or back end?
Some compensation plans place their higher commissions on the 'backend' meaning you get higher commissions at the lower levels. Backend plans are more lucrative and will reward those who persist to work hard to build a deep organization.
Half hearted, part time networkers are unlikely to build beyond level 2.
Front end compensation plans offer more money upfront with less effort but the long term potential is small.
Profit potential.
How do you calculate the profit potential?First calculate the retail profit potential. It's the difference between retail and wholesale discount.Next, calculate the potential commissions.
Qualifications.
Find out the minimum personal volume requirement for the plan you're analyzing. That's the amount of product you need to buy in order to qualify for commission or to advance to next level. If the monthly requirement is too high you may end up stockpiling unsold products.
Make a point to find out what penalties there are for failing to meet monthly quotas.
Types of Compensation Plans.
There are 3 main types of compensation plans. The best mlm company should have a compensation plan that suits your personality and goals.
1. The staircase/Breakaway plan.
This is the compensation plan used by older and well established mlm companies - e.g. Amway, Shaklee. You advance by ascending a staircase of achievement levels. The more products you buy, the higher up the ladder and the higher the commission.
When you reach the top of the ladder and some downlines catch up with you, they break away and form their own organizations. You no longer collect commissions on products sold by them or their downlines, but you collect royalty commission from each breakaway group. This is the lucrative part because these break aways are leaders and leaders don't quit.
The breakaway plan offers the biggest potential but it also has some disadvantages:
It is the hardest plan to work because the big money comes from the backend. You need to be successful before you start seeing significant money coming in.
Every time one of your legs breakaway, it's sale volume no longer counts as part of your sale so distributors in staircase plans are under constant pressure to sell product and sponsor more people.
The staircase/breakaway plans tend to be complex and hard to explain to new recruits.
It's distribution of commission is top heavy. It tends to channel more money to the top achievers and to the corporations. It works best for serious, dedicated networkers who are willing to sacrifice and work hard.
The staircase plans offer the best chance to build a substantial residual income.
2. Unilevel Plan
The unilevel plan has no breakaways. As with the staircase plans, the unilevel allows you to recruit an unlimited number of people into your frontline. You can build as wide as you can. There is no limit.
And like all compensation plans there is a limit as to how many levels deep you get paid for.
Advantages:
- It's simple to explain to new recruits because it has no breakaways.
- Spillover
Unilevel plans often stack their highest commission on third or fourth level so to maximize their commissions, distributors will put as many new recruits as possible on the highest paying level. Say the highest commission is paid at level 4. This means it's in the interest of uplines to help downlines to build their frontlines up to 4th level. - Easy qualifications.
Because there are no breakaways, all the sale volume of your organization counts towards your monthly volume. You don't have to rush madly to make up for lost volume each time someone breaks away.
It is therefore less stressful.
Disadvantages:
- There is a limit to growth because although the unilevel has no restriction on the number of frontlines and number of people you sponsor, there's a physical limit as to how many people you can manage effectively.
3. The Matrix Plan
The matrix plan has no breakaways. It limits both the width and depth which is the number of levels you get paid. A typical matrix would be 2 x 12. This means you can have 2 frontline and 12 levels deep in your organization.
Advantages:
Disadvantages:
